open DNS?

anyone know why suddenly, out of nowhere today while I was browsing deviantart
and had been browsing it fine for the past 2 hours, it suddenly gets BLOCKED by this thing called open DNS?

and then i try to refresh, nothing.
and then i try to access facebook. blocked.
twitter. blocked.
IMDB. BLOCKED

what the feck?
(I'm not going to swear incase it decides to block this as well)

I'm not happy. Some other people have reported this kind of stuff happening
but that was back in July or years ago.

so this kinda sucks.
I hope the dns people FIX these errors soon.

Well,
this morning has been an interesting start to the day,
my dad has been NICE, and said I can have some of his rasberry liquorice (it tastes goooood)
and everything seems nice except the weather.

very good omen.

Sadly though, the plans that i had secretly been planning about tonight
are probably not going to happen because emily is coming,
and that's not in a mean way to say it's about emily,
it's not, it has nothing to do with it being actually her,
just the fact that she will be there.

crud.

I probably will still txt though,
I haven't spoken to them in such a long time it feels completely fucked.

and tonight shall only be about fun and frolics and watching as the plan
fails because you cannot be trapped inside a park and be outside a park
at the same time :P

seriously,
college is starting to ask too much.

What they expect:
atleast 10/15 pages of sketchbook filled
PLUS
20 drawings for (fracking) all-day drawing class
PLUS
2+ hours mandatory after-college study time
PLUS
getting up at an ungodly hour tomorrow so i can put my name down for illustration
PLUS
another 10/15 pages filled in another sketchbook

all on the go, and, personal work If I Have Time.

all things considered, this'd be fiiiine as a workload.
but they only give me like 3 days to get in done in,
because the rest of the time I'm already IN my workshops WORKING.

geh.

They want to get us used to a professional workload??
From what I understand you either get big projects over about a month,
or smaller editorial stuffs over about a week.

But not BOTH, with LESS TIME
because i can't and won't end up doing it and instead i'll doodle
personal work the whole time (and it's pretty good!) but still,
not what they want.

*sigh* right, rant over
s'not like i've been slacking either..I came into college today
on my day off, stayed til the learning curve closed at 6pm
to try and get some of my mountain 'o stuff done.
and i did, but not all of it.

they expect too much from us.

Stayed up all night sunday and got 7 weeks worth done :)
but then sadly had a 'nap' at half 3pm on monday and ended up waking up at half 4am tues!
that evening was lost!

on the plus side, i could flyyyyy, over a bunch of cars,
i like dreams which let me do impossible things,
especially since i got to see what flying feels like (brilliant)

also, here's the sketch i finished today :)

for the night was really fun,
i still love the 80s and 60s more, but it wasn't half bad :P

i made the effort to dress up and i think someone got pictures
so expect that to find its way onto the internet soon enough : P

nice family night even if i was a bit shy and didn't know
a great deal of the people there (although some were rather good-looking,
don't worry, not related!)

felt nice to give nan a chance to dance, she enjoyed herself a bit
which makes the whole thing worthwhile to me,
I do have an awesome Auntie, Uncle and cousins, though.
They dressed up PROPERLY properly. Sue had a wig with the
kind of hair i want naturally : ( all curly/wavy and reddish.
I completely forgot about punk(!!) too which meant i went
as the next best thing found in my wardrobe odds&ends, a hippieeee.

mum's thinking of doing something like that for dad's 50th bday
in November, could be fun, depends what era they choose :P

i give credit to dad though for ordering me more business cards

I'm back,
Squeek went with Emily as planned, I really hope she/her mum look after him right.

Aidan said i might be able to take wesley when he's the actual-giving-a-kitten-away age.
So i experimented with wesley's temperment and he purred and fell asleep, win.
it might be a possibility, and i'd have the tabby i wanted again all along.

Sooooooooooo fucking glad when i FREAKED OUT about not having done any work, pretty much, yet
and thinking i went back in like a week and was therefore beyond screwed, that when i checked
my letter it revealed i am infact going back on the 14th, starting a week of induction.
ugh induction.

also, Dave sent me an awesome text yesterday that made me feel like a should also get a job,
so I can sit next to Zane Lowe and the lead singer of the Prodigy.
damn you Dave :P

but yeh, WOO, can actually save my ass from...whatever my ass would have endured,
probably a kicking-out or just a not-coming-back.
